Holiday Wine 101 - Holiday Party Cocktail Menu Mon, Aug 15, 22 Holiday Wine 101 – Holiday Party Cocktail Menu Hosting a holiday gathering is a lot of fun, but it also takes a lot of work. To help out with the prepping and planning, we have put together a holiday party cocktail menu to make your holiday party a hit! All of the beverages below are available in our store, and the selections marked with an asterisk (*) are currently available in our tasting machines, making them available to try before you buy! (Click here or on the cocktail menu below to make the image larger and/or print it.) Holiday Party Cocktail Menu WHITE WINE Consider non-traditional, but easy sipping whites. We love Raimat Albarino*, $11.99, Dry Creek Valley Chenin Blanc*, $10.99 or Larrivet Haut Brion White Bordeaux, $13.99. RED WINE When buying for a crowd, lean towards “fruit-forward” style reds. We suggest: Komodo Dragon Red Blend, $12.99 and Urgency Pinot Noir, $14.99. Also, consider a 1.5 Liter or 3.0L Liter large format bottle to really make a splash! BUBBLES Having a bottle of sparkling wine always makes a party feel more festive. Pro tip – always use Prosecco for mimosas + other mixed drinks (try Canale Prosecco, $9.99). Champagne should be sipped without any mixers (try Aubert Et Fils Brut Champagne, $24.99)! CRAFT BEER Have a sampling of the most popular styles of Craft Beers. Our picks would be an easy drinking IPA like True North Northern Haze IPA; a classic porter such as Stoneface Porter; and an amber lager, Jack Abby Red Tape Lager. SIGNATURE HOLIDAY PARTY COCKTAIL You can impress guests by offering a unique cocktail that is not so eclectic that most will enjoy it. Our staff loves a “Hard Cider Spritz” which can be made in a pitcher in advance + simply topped with club soda and an apple slice when served! 16 oz dry hard cider (try Bad Seed Dry Cider) 6 oz apple cider 2 oz rye whiskey (try Rittenhouse Rye) 1 ounce aperol (try Campari Aperol) 1 oz fresh lemon juice Makes 4 servings.
